Revelot Terra Video Review

Revelot Terra Field Watch

"A design that pays tribute to the iconic Dirty Dozen collection of field watches created by twelve different Swiss watchmakers during the final years of World War II. Issued to British servicemen, these watches represent a unique intersection of horology and military history, holding a significant place in both watchmaking and wartime memorabilia. While maintaining the same configuration of the Dirty Dozen field watches, the Terra is a modern interpretation of the classic icon, with a mix of brush and polish finish on chamfers and angles paired with angular bull-horn styled lugs. The 316L Steel or CuSn8 Bronze case is Completed with a domed hat sapphire crystal and anti-reflective (AR) coating for clarity. Featuring a fumé gravel-textured dial with a sub-dial at 6 o’clock and a crown at 3 o’clock, this design pays homage to the iconic aesthetics of the original 1945 models upgraded with a casted 3D lume block with modern numerics and sword shaped faceted hands of brush and mirror.

For a 6PM sub-dial and 3PM crown configuration similar to the World War 2 Dirty Dozen watches, we have chosen the ST17 from Seagull for its strong price advantage. We will test and cherry pick the best from the bulk for the Terra to ensure its reliable. The ST17 operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of up to 39 hours with a accuracy of (+/-30s/day). Our latest 316L Stainless steel Glide lock bracelet with quick release spring bars now fitted with screw links. One of they key highlights of this project is also the 3D lumed blocks that are casted which adds character and depth to the Fume gravel textured dial. To keep prices attainable we will be using Japan Super Luminova for this project which we think are decent for the value. If you are a lume junkie we highly recommend the C3.
